CNE – The VATVHS is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Tennessee Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation. This activity has been submited for 6 contact hours credits for nursing continuing education.
CEU – Additional CEU/contact hour approvals are being reviewed for long term care administrators.
Contact hours will be awarded to social workers and other health professions.
This Live activity, 2012 Geriatric Update Conference, with a beginning date of June 16, 2012, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 6.50 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Approval for AAFP CME credit does not imply authorization to use the AAFP logo on CME activity materials or to use AAFP’s name in any association with the activity other than the credit statement.
AMA/AAFP Equivalency:
AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. When applying for the AMA PRA, Prescribed credit earned must be reported as Prescribed, not as Category 1.
