The Anna and Harry Borun Center for Gerontological Research
This site, a joint project of the UCLA School of Medicine and and the Jewish Home for the Aging of Greater Los Angeles, offers nursing home staff the tools and guidance they need to improve their quality of care. It contains protocols, guidelines, and other support information to help facilities improve care in the follwing six areas that profoundly affect residents' quality of life and well-being: weight loss prevention, incontinence management, pain screening, pressure ulcer prevention, quality-of-life assessment and mobility decline prevention.

Lists local agencies and resources available to address a range of older adult needs. Includes listings of senior centers, home care agencies, home-delivered meal providers, housing and employment, and many other services.

A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging, links those who need assistance with state and local area agencies on aging and community-based organizations that serve older adults and their caregivers.
